Driving across Nebraska towards Colorado:
Our first night in Colorado, we stop off at former Floridians, Ray & Kay's "house" in Fairplay. We had an awesome time exploring their part of Colorado, sitting in their hot tub, eating good food and enjoying their company. THANKS, RAY & KAY for your hospitality. They are living in the apartment above the garage while they build their new home. One of their standard poodles had recently had a litter of 7 pups (three were still in residence and sooo darn cute.)

On July 16th, we went across Boreas Pass. The new mom rode along:

On July 17th, we visited the Bristlecone pines, twisted by winds,
the oldest living trees on earth.
