July 16th & 17th - 2013 RAY & KAY's HOUSE in FAIRPLAY, COLO

Driving across Nebraska towards Colorado:

Our first night in Colorado, we stop off at former Floridians, Ray & Kay's "house" in Fairplay.  We had an awesome time exploring their part of Colorado, sitting in their hot tub, eating good food and enjoying their company.  THANKS, RAY & KAY for your hospitality.  They are living in the apartment above the garage while they build their new home.  One of their standard poodles had recently had a litter of 7 pups (three were still in residence and sooo darn cute.)

Nice view from the front yard:

A couple of the pups:
Plenty room to run:

On July 16th, we went across Boreas Pass.  The new mom rode along:

The old Paris Mill constructed in 1894, being restored:
On July 17th, we visited the Bristlecone pines, twisted by winds,
the oldest living trees on earth.
