March - Filling up that SINKHOLE!

So, it starts. Here's the Reader's Digest version:  31 holes drilled around the house (including the driveway, porches & patio) for casings to pump 27 (not a typo) TWENTY-SEVEN truckloads of cement/grout under our house; to be followed by 74 holes for 1500 pounds of a polymer. 

 

 

Pumping caused the cracks in the kitchen to buckle the tiles:

Our house now sits on an underground "rock,"  We will leave all the cosmetic repairs to be done when we return in the fall.  It's time to get the heck out of this hot & humid place!
